I did both the music and the sound design for this production, and it turned out to be a gift in terms of the ingredients: from the evoking of an epic plane crash using a mighty D&B Soundscape system, the concept of the conch sending me into a world of eerie nordic horns, the fact the kids are from a school choir bringing in echoes of ancient gregorian plainchants, and finally the discovery that William Golding loved the music of Fredierick Chopin.
