This is a wonderful and extraordinary story that somehow keeps its place in the comfort food of the nation, despite the awful darkness of some of its elements. This was the second production I've made with Mark and it was a joy, with twenty briliant young people from the local area, and a beguiling, mercurial performance from Lisa Howard as Fagin.

John Biddle’s sumptuous choral score is key to this slick, polished production.
Close to being through-composed, the production is dominated by music, the harmonic power of the ensemble a statement of collective action in itself.
